This section includes information specifically geared to help educate Local League Leaders on things from basic leadership and strategic planning, to skill development areas such as attracting visibility, recruiting new members and increasing your fundraising. We encourage you to explore this section plus the website as a whole.
 
General Leadership Tools
  • In League – A comprehensive guide to all aspects of local League management with chapters identified separately for quick reference.

  • Grants Management
    The League of Women Voters of NYS Education Foundation (LWVNYSEF) is a separate 501(c) 3 organization that permits tax-deductible donations for educational programs. Local Leagues can be “agents” under LWVNYSEF and thereby accept tax-deductible donations to be used for their own educational programs. Guidelines MUST be followed to maintain the charitable organization status.

State Board Reports(SBR) & State News

Released five times a League year (July to June), the State Board Reports (SBR) provide an update from the Board of Directors on their respective projects or programs. Also, issued with the SBR is State News which is a quick summary of state League activities print-ready for local League newsletters.
