League of Women Voters of New York State Education Foundation (EF)
The Education Foundation depends on donors to support our educational programs. With your help, we provide educational materials and resources for the people of New York State.
Programs like Students Inside Albany – a four day conference to educate high school students about their role in state government, and timely community information programs on current issues like Campaign Finance Reform are only possible because of your generosity.
League of Women Voters of New York State (LWVNYS)
LWVNYS is a not-for-profit corporation under section 501 (c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, committed to the active and informed participation of individuals in government and governmental institutions.
We work to inform the electorate of races and issues facing them by the hosting of candidate forums, publication of voters’ guides and sponsorship of public forums on a range of public policy issues. It is nonpartisan, in that it does not support candidates; but it does advocate for legislation in accordance with its positions.
Education Foundation (EF) 1919 Society
We invite you to join the LWVNYS Education Foundation’s (EF) 1919 Society. It is easy to become a member. All you need to do is let us know that you have included the EF in your will or estate gift planning. In addition to providing a wonderful legacy with the League, charitable bequests decrease the size of your taxable estate.
You can easily add the EF to your will or trust through a codicil or amendment without redrafting your entire will. Just tell your attorney that you want to leave either a special bequest or a part of the residuary of your estate to the EF.
