Early Voting: March 23 – 30
March 23
- Last day for IN-PERSON Voter Registration; MAIL IN registrations must be received by a Board of Elections.
April 1
- Last day to apply IN-PERSON for an absentee ballot.
April 2
- Last day to postmark ballot. Must be received by the local Board of Elections no later than April 9.
- Last day to deliver ballot IN-PERSON to the local Board of Elections or to any poll site in your county.

Early Voting: June 15 – 23
June 15
- Last day for IN-PERSON Voter Registration; MAIL IN registrations must be received by a Board of Elections.
June 24
- Last day to apply IN-PERSON for absentee ballot.
June 25
- Last day to postmark ballot. Must be received by the local Board of Elections no later than May 2.
- Last day to deliver ballot IN-PERSON to the local Board of Elections or to any poll site in your county.
General Election
November 5, 2024
Early Voting: October 26 – November 3, 2024

- Last day for IN-PERSON Voter Registration; MAIL IN registrations must be received by a Board of Elections.

- Last day to apply IN-PERSON for absentee ballot.

- Last day to postmark ballot. Must be received by the local Board of Elections no later than Nov. 12. Military Voter Ballots must be received no later than Nov. 18.
- Last day to deliver ballot IN-PERSON to the local Board of Elections or to any poll site in your county.
New York State Board of Elections Online Voter Registration
Use the QR code to register online to vote or update your voter information through the NYS Board of Elections. This could be a two-step process for some as a NY.Gov ID is required to register. If you have not used NY.Gov you will need to create an account.
Golden Day
Referred to as “Golden Day,” March 23 (presidential primary), June 15 (federal, state, and local primary), and October 26 (general election), are the final days to register to vote AND also the first day of Early Voting. All those eligible to register to vote in New York State may use an affidavit ballot AND vote on March 23, June 15, and October 26.
